Health and safety are top priorities at Dawn The Tour Guide. May 2021 Covid Protocol Update
I am so pleased to be able to UPDATE these protocols!
I AM FULLY VACCINATED. Still, I will assess my wellbeing each day before a scheduled tour. If I believe that I might sick I will contact you right away to reschedule. I ask my guests to do the same. There will be no penalties for cancellation, and I will work with you to reschedule.
MASKS ARE NOW OPTIONAL OUTDOORS ON ALL OF MY TOURS. You can ask me to wear a mask and I will do so willingly; from the moment we meet until the moment we part. You and your guests can elect to wear a mask or not wear a mask as you are comfortable and as local guidelines and sites we visit permit. I DO RESPECTFULLY REQUEST THAT MY GUESTS ABIDE BY THE MASKING RULES OF LOCAL BUSINESSES AND INDIVIDUAL HISTORIC SITES, SO PLEASE DO HAVE MASKS WITH YOU ON THE TOUR.
As you prefer, we can practice social distancing. There will be times, however, where it will be impossible for us to be six feet apart, in which case you may be more comfortable having us all be masked. I am fine with that. Just let me know.
If we go inside any buildings together, I will put my mask on.
A tour is no fun at all when you can’t hear the guide, so:
If I am wearing a mask on our tour together each guest on the tour will be provided with a sanitized radio receiver, a sanitized neck lanyard, and a pair of single-use earphones. Also included with the radio receiver will be an alcohol wipe and a small packet of hand sanitizer. These are for the guest’s use at their discretion. Another, simpler, option is for me to use an amplification device that projects my voice without the guest having to manage any equipment on their end.
Even if I am NOT wearing a mask on our tour together auditory or amplification devices are available with advanced planning to anyone who would like to utilize this helpful tool. It has proven especially useful for those with hearing loss, but also is beneficial simply to hear easily over the sounds of loud airplanes, chopping helicopters, idling busses, screaming fire engines, roaring motorcycles, pounding jackhammers, amplified street musicians and “singing” cicadas.
*Please note that these policies can change to comply with the most recent CDC Guidelines and local community guidance.
