From the earliest inhabitants to its National Park designation today, discover a woman lawyer and landowner from the 1600's, a free African-American man who measured the boundaries for Washington, D.C. in the 1700's, as well as a Civil War Battery & Lighthouse, historic railways and shipyards, and even an automobile factory! A beautiful, easy walking tour - just wear shoes that you don't mind maybe getting muddy. 1.5 - 2 hours/$150 for up to 12 guests.

Private add-on to any tour for up to 12 guests. Includes an overview of how to ride Metro and specific guidance on acquiring Metro SmarTrip cards, navigating the Metro lines, and Metro etiquette. Your guide will meet you at the Metro Station you select together and will accompany you on your entire journey to the starting point of your walking tour. $50 for up to 12 guests

Unable to travel to the National Capitol area, or living locally but prefer not to be out and about right now? I can conduct live, custom, and interactive on-location virtual tours for your family or your group. I'm your boots-on-the-ground in real time! Participants can ask questions and join discussions. Can even add a 2nd guide in a 2nd, connected location (like the Lincoln Memorial & the MLK Memorial). Conducted over Zoom or over the virtual meeting platform of your choice.

Get in touch and we'll figure out the perfect plan. Depending on number of guests additional guides can be added so a larger group can be accomodated.

Booking Terms and Conditions

 ​Not included are snacks and meals, transportation costs, admission fees, parking fees, or gratuity, unless explicitly listed as a component of a specific tour. All tour durations are estimates and will vary depending on walking pace of the group, snack & restroom stops, photo ops, etc. Payment in full is due at the time of booking and is the only way to reserve your preferred date and time.  In light of the Covid-19 pandemic all scheduled tours can be cancelled up to, and including, the day of the tour. Please do not come to a tour if any member of your group is feeling unwell. If at all possible, your tour will be rescheduled and, if not possible, you will receive a full refund.  Once a tour has begun or has concluded no refunds will be available. All guests are required to digitally sign a waiver form before the tour.
